We’ve had a wonderful experience with Little Star! After visiting six other daycares in Zurich, we chose Little Star, and it has truly been the perfect choice. The facility is always spotless and beautifully maintained, balancing a modern style with a cozy, home-like touch. The daycare is decorated with photos of the kids and their families, creating a warm and familiar atmosphere that truly feels like home. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, and our kids are genuinely excited to go every day.There are plenty of activities for the children, from yoga and dancing to swimming, arts and crafts, and a variety of events that involve both children and parents. The location in Sihlcity is super convenient, with easy access to both tram and train stations. Unlike larger, more industrial daycare chains, Little Star is smaller and more intimate, which gives it a wonderful feeling of familiarity and personal attention. They prepare fresh, balanced, and nutritious meals on-site, avoiding sugars and overly processed foods, which we appreciate. They are also excellent with twins and small babies—though our kids started at age two, we noticed how attentive they are with younger babies, ensuring each child receives dedicated care. The administration is very responsive, always answering our questions promptly. We couldn’t be happier and highly recommend Little Star!

We couldn’t be happier with the daycare where our children spend their days. The teachers are incredibly attentive, caring, and deeply focused on the children’s development. The environment is clean, well-organized, and thoughtfully designed to meet the needs of little ones.The variety in the menu is outstanding, covering breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snacks—all included in the monthly fee. As parents, we appreciate the convenience of not having to bring anything, as everything is provided.The outdoor activities are a highlight, offering plenty of opportunities for the children to connect with nature and explore the world around them.This daycare has truly exceeded our expectations in every way. Highly recommended!

We couldn't be happier with Little Star daycare in Zurich. Unlike other daycare chains that treat childcare like a business, Little Star offers a warm, home-like environment that truly stands out. The low staff attrition rate means that our children have been able to form strong bonds with their teachers.We particularly appreciate the Montessori approach that Little Star follows. The varied activities, including forest trips, yoga, crafts, and early literacy, promote independence and make going to kita fun. The dedicated cook on-site prepares fresh, balanced meals every day, ensuring that the children receive nutritious food.Our kids' initial introduction to Little Star was super smooth. Despite being at the peak of their separation anxiety phase, they were happily going to daycare after the first week. This was a very positive sign for us as parents, and it reassured us that we had made the right choice. Warmly recommended!

Nurturing Trilingual Kindergarten with Outstanding ActivitiesLittle Star Day School at Zurich Sihlcity has been a great experience for our family. Their unique offerings, such as the bilingual—actually trilingual—program (German, English, and even weekly Mandarin) and the wide range of activities, make it truly unique, even for a private kindergarten. Our child loves the sports, yoga, and swimming lessons with professional teachers, as well as the fantastic playroom with a ballpit!The Montessori-based—but not exclusively Montessori—kindergarten (and daycare, by the way, so your child wouldn’t need to switch) also goes above and beyond with weekly outings to the nearby library, daily outdoor time, and nature/forest days. The children progress quickly because these activities happen every week, saving parents from having to arrange them in the evenings or on weekends. The hands-on experiences, like raising chicks and caring for the fish aquarium, add another layer of learning and fun that is unmatched, even compared to other private daycares and kindergartens.The family-run atmosphere is heartwarming, with the owners and teachers creating a welcoming environment (including the owners’ dog). It’s lovely to see the sense of community, with the family photo board showcasing the wonderful families who are part of Little Star.The beloved on-site cook ensures delicious and healthy meals daily, and the children even learn to cook with her. The parking card for Sihlcity is another great convenience for parents.The only things that could be improved are receiving newsletters and monthly bills via email instead of paper mail, offering a year-end tax summary of all bills, sharing more photos of activities digitally (via Dropbox) on a monthly basis, and possibly extending the hours by half an hour to 7pm.Overall, we couldn’t be happier with Little Star and highly recommend it to any family looking for a nurturing, enriching, and fun kindergarten experience!
